We are sorry to announce that the country’s change to the Red setting, of the Covid traffic light system, has forced the cancellation of the remaining three nights of the Shoe Clinic Asics 5K Series for 2022. The rules at Red require us to have no more than “100 people based on 1 metre distancing in a defined space at the venue at any time.” The 5K series exceeds this number.
A full refund will be made to any participants who have paid online in advance of nights 3, 4 or 5. Please email the race director kevinbknight@me.com including your bank account details for a refund.
The Shoe Clinic Asics 5K Series consists of 5 weeks of events for runners and walkers wanting to run or walk in a 5KM event. Hosted by the Port Hills Athletic Club in the beautiful Hagley Park, Christchurch, this event has something for everyone, including a 1.6KM run for ages 14 and under. The first race is 5:30pm which is the 1.6km event for ages 14 and under only. 5:45pm for the 5km competitive run and 6:15pm for the 5km fun run and walk.
