AthleticNET Info

The AthleticNET (entries) and the AthleticLIVE (results) systems are being used at all Athletics Canterbury Senior Interclub meetings this season.  Canterbury Childrens Athletics are using AthleticLIVE at your interclub meetings, which allows you to view results on your smart phones.  As we get more familiar with AthleticNET & AthleticLIVE, the entries system may be used by Canterbury Children’s Athletics as well.

All previous meetings held by Athletics Canterbury can be viewed on our own AthleticLIVE HOMEPAGE.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO ALL PARENTS / CARE-GIVERS with CHILDREN UNDER 13

All athletes under 13 MUST be linked to an AthleticNET account either held by a parent / caregiver or some other trusted adult.  It is through this account that an UNDER 13 athlete register for a meeting and enter events, with the adult account holder responsible for the entry / payment (if required).  Children over 12 can still be linked to an adult’s account, if that is your preferred option.

Please look at the following three videos … creating your account on AthleticNET, adding children to your account (under 13) & entering events.  You will need to know this procedure if entries are taken online using AthleticNET.

  1. Creating a FREE AthleticNET account:   This video shows you how to create a FREE AthleticNET account in your name.
  2. Adding a child UNDER 13 to your account:.  This video shows you how to ADD child/ren under 13 to your account.
  3. Registration and entering an interclub Meeting:  This video goes through the process of how you find the meeting you want to enter and how to enter events.
  4. Download a PDF version of this process –AthleticsNET Info for Parents.

If you have completed the THREE tasks above, why not try entering an event.  Login to your account and go through the entry process as directed in video 3 above.  The meeting called AC PRACTICE MEETING – 3th December 2024 is available you for to ‘have  a go’.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO OLDER ATHLETES AGED 13+   Have you claimed your BIO?

All athletes who have competed at interclub during the past TWO seasons will have results in the AthleticNET database.

  1. Claiming your Athlete BIO:  This video shows you how to claim your BIO, which is a record of all your results within the AthleticNET database.  You may have competed for your school, a club or even changed club.  Therefore it is possible that your name appears more than once.  If it does, look at the next video.
  2. Merging BIOs  This video goes through the process of merging all your information under one login page.
  3. Registration and entering an interclub Meeting: This video goes through the process of how you find the meeting you want to enter and how to enter events.

BEST WAY to find a MEETING and ENTERING – USE the internet version, not the AthleticNET APP.

LOGIN into your AthleticNET PROFILE PAGE and CLICK on MEET REGISTRATION (was called Athlete Registration)

NOTE: Apple Pay and similar systems can be problematic.  Please link a debit or credit card to your account.

There are more HELP TOPICS available that can be viewed, if you would like to know more.

I appreciate it is a new system and may seem challenging.   However, it has some great features and it has already enhanced the delivery of our events.
