What is Safeguarding?
With information specifically for Athletics NZ clubs, attendees of this workshop will learn what safeguarding is, potential areas of concern, how to create a safe environment, taking action, and the complaints/raising a concern process. Facilitated by Chris Hurring, Safeguarding Officer, this 60-minute workshop will raise awareness and get attendees thinking how to minimise risks and create a safe club environment.
Who should attend? Club committee members, coaches, officials, volunteers – if you’re involved in the delivery of club athletics, then this workshop is for you!

With information specifically for Athletics NZ clubs, attendees of this workshop will learn what safeguarding is, potential areas of concern, how to create a safe environment, taking action, and the complaints/raising a concern process. This season we are using AthleticNET to collect entries and run the meetings on AthleticLIVE.

If your name does not appear in AthleticNET, you will need to creae an account. In doing so, do not select any option that asks you to buy anything.

SENIOR INTERCLUB COMPETITION FEES ALL Grades = $8.00, including first event. Additional Events = $1.00 per event AthleticNET fees of $3.00 per athlete & 7% will be added to the above event fees.
The success of our meeting relies on the goodwill of our officials and volunteers, so please offer to help if you see there is a need. To be added to a roster of ‘HELPERS’, please contact Brian Theobald.
