IMPORTANT UPDATE – COVID Gathering sizes restricted to 100

Hi All,

We apologise for the late notice, but we have just been informed that the gathering size at Nga Puna Wai has been reduced back to 100.

Last week Athletics Canterbury created a plan to cover this situation that has been approved by Christchurch City Council.

Nga Puna Wai is divided into TWO distinct areas – the MAIN TRACK ARENA and the OUTER THROWING ZONE (Second track area).

For us to successfully hold our meeting tomorrow, ATHLETES are required to make a choice and therefore you may not be able to compete in all of events you have entered.

You CANNOT move between the two areas, so you are required to make a choice as to which events you will compete in.

1. Main Arena Events:   Track events, pole vault and long jump
2. Throwing Zone Events (Second track area):  All throwing events & high jump.

To ensure the total number of attendees within each area remains below 100, ONLY athletes & coaches can attend interclub tomorrow … NO SPECTATORS!! 

During next week we will work with the Christchurch City Council to modify this plan based on how tomorrow’s event goes.

We appreciate your cooperation in advance to ensure we conform with the latest Covid 19 gathering guidelines.  Having read this message, please pass on this information to people who may not have seen this message.

Competition Fees:  Under 16 & Grade 13/14 = $5.00, Under 18 / Under 20 / Masters 65+ = $8.00,  Seniors / Masters 30-64 = $10.00

All entries incur an additional $2.00 administration fee.

Due to Covid Level 2 protocols, NO LATE entries this Saturday.
