Jo O’Sullivan Welcomed as New Board Chair
Athletics Canterbury is pleased to announce the appointment of Jo O’Sullivan as Chair of the Board until the AGM in July of this year.
Jo recently joined the Board as a co-opted member and has already made a strong impression with her strategic insight, collaborative approach, and commitment to the organisation’s long-term success. Her appointment as Chair marks an exciting new chapter as the organisation continues to grow and strengthen its impact within the community.
Jo brings a wealth of governance and leadership experience, along with a genuine passion for supporting sustainable, well-run organisations. Her background in large organisations will be invaluable as the Board continues to focus on delivering positive outcomes for members, stakeholders, and the wider community.
The Board also wishes to acknowledge and thank Tony Fallon for his service as Chair. During his tenure, Tony provided steady leadership and strong governance, helping guide the organisation through an important period of change. His contribution, commitment, and support of both the Board and management team have been greatly valued. And a thank you to Katherine Ewer who along with Tony served on the board for three years and provided some steady hands around the board table.
As Chair, Jo will lead the Board in providing strong governance, strategic oversight, and support to management, ensuring the organisation remains well-positioned for the future.
